Shady Grove was a defining part of old Austin, known for its sprawling patio, pecan trees, and relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere. This hand-drawn illustration captures the setting that made it special: outdoor tables, shaded spaces, and the feeling of gathering under the trees just off Barton Springs Road.

The piece reflects what made Shady Grove memorable, a place where live music, cold drinks, and long meals blended into an easy rhythm. Drawn by a local Austin artist, the illustration uses clean linework and subtle texture to preserve that sense of place.
